The birth of a child is a life changing event! The pure innocence of a newborn baby lasts only a “fleeting moment” of their lives, but this event demarcates one of the biggest life changes ever. Not only is it the birth of a baby, but it is also the birth of a mother, a father, a family.
My aim
I would love to capture this new beginning with images that you will cherish for a lifetime. My aim is not lots of images, but rather to capture the essence of the newborn and the new family. I concentrate on quality images rather than quantity.
Why me?
Years ago I received a degree in Nursing from Stellenbosch University and a Diploma in Midwifery from Universitas Hospital in Bloemfontein. I worked in various neonatal units and maternity wards as well as providing primary health care at mother and baby clinics, all while raising my own two children. This comes in very handy in my field of photography!
With the birth of my granddaughter, my passion for photography was channeled into newborn and family photography.
Since 2014 local and international families trusted me to photograph their families. My cosy, friendly studio is situated in Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa. Come and relax while I photograph your precious family with the utmost care and compassion.
My qualifications
I received my Diploma in Professional Photography from the PI PHOTOGRAPHY INSTITUTE. To hone my skills, I attended numerous national and international workshops and short courses. Among others I attended a workshop of the multi award winning Newborn Photographer, Kelly Brown from Australia. To be tutored by the best of the best was really paying off. She will always be my mentor.

Member of the Accredited Professional Newborn Photographers International where I completed the Safety Course successfully.
